Volunteers needed to help plant trees along Antietam Creek
ACWA volunteers will be assisting MD DNR, the Town of Hancock, and local girls scouts in planting trees along the Maryland Rail Trail & Joseph Hancock Memorial park.
Meet at the Western MD Rail Trail/Hancock Town Parking Lot, next to “Buddy’s Lou’s Eats, Drinks, & Antiques”. You can use this google maps link to navigate there. We will walk a short distance along the Rain Trail to planting locations.
Wear sturdy shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Bring a reusable water bottle. Bring work gloves, if you have them. We will have work gloves (adult and child sizes) to lend out if needed, and provide shovels and other tools for volunteer use.
This event is eligible for WCPS Student Service Learning Hours.
