Volunteers Needed!
Short Notice Tree Planting
Saturday May 7th 10am-2pm (5/8 12:30pm-4:30 pm Rain Date)
Reservoir Park, Hagerstown

Grant funding was recently obtained by the Maryland Forest Service from the Chesapeake and Coastal Bays Trust Fund for ~100 large trees to be planted at Reservoir Park, Hagerstown. The trees need to be planted very soon, so ACWA is switching our previously scheduled May 7th work day to help with this planting event.
Many hands are needed! These trees are large size (3/4" to 1.5" caliper), similar to those used in our street tree plantings. Only a few holes will be pre-dug for the largest trees, so volunteers will help dig appropriate sized holes and properly plant the trees.

  • Gloves and tools will be on hand, but feel free to bring your own shovel and gloves.

  • Please wear sturdy shoes and bring your own water bottle. Snacks and water will be available.

  • Suitable for all ages, but minors must be accompanied by an adult. Students may bring their SSL cards for signature after volunteering.

  • To volunteer, sign up HERE Event updates and additional event details will be emailed.
