ACWA SAFE WORKING PROTOCOLS FOR VOLUNTEERS
Due the COVID-19 pandemic and concern for other viral illness, volunteers will be expected to follow the following safe working protocols listed below to be respectful of and protect all those working together.
All those volunteering will provide contact information for future communications on schedule changes, protocol changes, or health notices.
If you feel sick or experience any symptoms of illness, please let your team leader know, stay home, and get well.
If you test positive for COVID-19, please follow all quarantine guidelines recommended by State Health officials.
Volunteers will travel to sampling sites via their own transportation.
Social distancing should be observed between volunteers. Teams will consider how to divide up sampling duties to ensure protocols can best be observed.
Everyone will wear a mask or face covering, regardless of working inside or outside. Face coverings will be worn over both nose and mouth. If you need to remove your mask for any reason, such as drinking water, please ensure you step away from others and maintain social distancing.
Hand sanitizer will be available and recommended for frequent use. Hand washing faclities tend not to be available in the field.
Each volunteer is expected to adhere to these safe working protocols. Those who refused to do so will be asked to leave.
