Who: Volunteers interested in assisting with Community Science Stream Temperature Monitoring

What: Learn about the ACWA Stream Temperature Monitoring effort and help assemble the temperature logger units for distribution into our local stream

Where: Crickhollow Farm barn, 20464 Beaver Creek Road, Hagerstown, MD

When: Saturday April 11, 1pm until finished…depending on number of volunteers, the effort could take 2 hours or so.

Potomac Riverkeeper Network is hosting a community meeting to discuss Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS), also known as "forever chemicals" in the Antietam Watershed.  

Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Zullinger Community Center, 4569 Buchanan Trail E, Waynesboro, PA 17268

• The meeting will provide information on PFAS sources, such as pesticides, biosolids, wastewater, and firefighting foam.

• Free PFAS test kits will be available for the first 50 attendees.
